The year of the android: My new column

Each year around Christmas I get the same phone call from radio producers: “Will you come on over the break and talk about some predictions for the year ahead?“ I usually do this for a few stations, including Times Radio’s show with John Pienaar. This year we discussed a few things including my prediction that 2024 would be the year of the android. Not the phone, the humanoid robot.

I’ve made this the subject for the first installment of my new column for BI Foresight, a publication from Bristol Innovations. Over the next few installments I’m planning to tackle many of the major technology trends that keep cropping up in my work: synthetic fuels, quantum computing, AI and more.

Check out the first column here and watch this space for more stories.
